What Is Cryotherapy? - Cryotherapy is a procedure that uses extreme cold to destroy tissue. The process is called cryo-necrosis, tissue destruction by freezing.
Are Cryo Probe Treatments Painful? - No, Patients rarely in pain or discomfort during treatments. There may be some mild stinging of the skin during treatment of larger lesions, but this normally goes away as soon as the treatment is over.
How Many Treatments will I Need? - Every client is different, and every lesion will respond to cryotherapy differently. For small lesions it is not uncommon for patients to only need 1 treatment for total destruction of the lesion. In other cases of larger lesions 3 treatments may be required. (1 -3 Treatments)
Is there Any Downtime? - There is No downtime after these procedures. Depending area we are treating we may recommend to apply a topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin to the site for up to 72 hours and to cover the area with a small Band-Aid. This is the risk of infection. Call Weed supply all of our patients with a topical triple anabiotic ointment that they may use for the next 5 to 7 days!
What Types Of Lesions Can Be Treated? - Moles, Warts, Skin Tags, Capillary Haemangioma, Discoid lupus, Erythematosus, Plantar Warts, Acrochordo, Actinic keratosis and cheilitis, Molluscum contagiosum, Seborrheic keratosis, Vulgar wart, Filiform wart, Lichen Sclerosus. It is always recommend that you first have any skin lesion assessed by your Dermatologist Prior to any Cryotherapy treatment.
